I did it, I did it! Now I can return to normal life activities, like showering and writing in my blog. Huzzah!

so much for NaBloPoMo…
Oh well–something had to give, and that something was blogging. I’m a little behind with my novel, and the last thing i want to do when i get off of work or on the weekends is log onto my computer and try to be interesting.
There’s always next year, I guess.

Judith Warner in the times
http://warner.blogs.nytimes.com/
I really enjoy Judith Warner’s opinion column in the times. This week’s is about modern dads getting as caught up in the lives of their children and the double standard that exists in the reaction to it. I’ve never considered myself particularly feminist, but the weight of society’s constant judgement of women is staggering when [...]

Busy bee
i really don’t have a second to myself lately. between sleeping, eating, exercising, writing my novel, writing my blog, working, guitar lessons, volunteering at the local library and acupuncture, my dance card is pretty full. i’m even using up what would be free/lost time by doing things like dictating my story while I drive to and from [...]

A band I like…
I hate the name: Telepathy, but they’re kinda new, and just getting started, but they’re good. If you’re in the SF Bay area, you should check them out.

By the by, man did it get dark fast last night. And something about that dark seems to make people want to be at home, ‘cuz traffic sucked [...]

I know it’s a bit late, but come on, I’ve got all those acronym-filled events going on. Cut me some slack, will ya? Here I am, plush guts and all. I was going for gross and graphic, but cute. What do you think?

i think i used to be much less sarcastic
I know that my dissatisfaction with work has screwed with my world view. The most minor glitch and a day is ruined; if I don’t maximize my weekend I feel like I’ve wasted it; and I’ve got barm*. I keep thinking, though, a lot of people hate their work, right? So why is it tweaking [...]

no fat chicks
I knew I was carrying some extra weight, but I didn’t know just how much until today’s bra-shopping expedition. Let’s just say that I was confronted by barm the likes of which I haven’t seen before (at least not on me). Which might explain why i’m in a somewhat craptacular mood today. I’ve been slacking [...]

lazy saturday
I was so looking forward to this weekend, but now that it’s here, I forget why. All i’ve got ahead of me is dirty laundry and dishes, and a “bachelor” party for a female friend of mine who doesn’t like me much. I’m not so certain why I rsvp’d, only that it sounded like a [...]
